We would like to announce that St. Elizabeth Seton Parish now has our own counseling services available to community members.  Ms. Mary Miller, MSW, LSW will be the primary counselor here at St. Elizabeth Seton, with possibly some other assistance when needed.  Mary is a part of an organization called Spiezio and Affiliates, Assistance Toward Authentic Living.  Spiezio and Affiliates counselors come to us with a combined expertise in Counseling and Ministry.  They hold Master Degrees and Licenses in Counseling, Pastoral Counseling and Social Work.  They work with people of all ages, dealing with issues ranging from Marital, Family, Mental Health Experiences, Abuse, Addictions, Transitions, Spiritual, Developmental and more.  The organization also specializes in speaking and consulting with organizations that wish or need to move through change and growth.  Annette Spiezio, LCPC is President and founder of Spiezio and Affiliates.

 

Spiezio and Affiliates is currently providing counseling services in eight other Joliet Diocesan Parishes.  Parishioners have found this to be a very comfortable and convenient way to work with counselors, within their own faith communities.  The number of people using these services is four times the amount of intakes that occur in the public sector of a counseling practice.  Clearly people are recognizing more and more that the need to care for their inner lives is both healthy and responsible.  Our counseling services can assist you along this path.
